Company was established in Bangkok in 2007, but has been active in the Southeast Asian region, especially Thailand, for over thirty years. We are rapidly expanding our engineering activities and are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our winning team.

Position: SENIOR MACHANICAL ENGINEER

Industry type: Power Plant (consult)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary Range: Maximum 120K

Responsibilities:

Lead design and engineering role performing conceptual/basic engineering in an Owner Engineer role consisting of:

- Site selection

- Major Equipment selection (CT, ST, HRSG)

- Conceptual plant layout

- Heat/water balances

- EPC contract specification and negotiation

Lead design and engineering role performing detailed engineering consisting of:

- Write and review technical specifications for power plant equipment and system.

- Perform and review calculations for equipment and systems

- Design and review drawings (P&IDs, general arrangements, etc.)

- Perform equipment sizing and selection, including bid evaluation

Man-power Scheduling
Perform man-hour estimations and assist in proposal work
Coordinate with US headquarters office and client for engineering tasks
Perform technical feasibility studies and due diligence reports

Description of Projects:

Power projects ranging in size from 10 MW to 4000 MW
Power plants burning natural gas (simple and combined cycle), coal, oil, bio-mass, waste-to- energy, and cogeneration facilities
Projects primarily located in Thailand and surrounding Southeast Asian countries.

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, Master Degree a plus
Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience, mainly in the field of power plants burning coal, biomass, or natural gas (simple and combined cycle), and cogeneration facilities
Significant design experience creating layouts / calculations /technical specifications / P & IDs / heat balances, etc.
Leadership capabilities in mentoring and assisting junior-level design engineers in project tasks
Knowledge of engineering and management software such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Micro station, Arrow, CAESAR II, Fathom, GT Pro/Steam Pro, Smart Pant, …
