Our Client is an international provider of market-leading products and services to both the public and private sectors. A company has developed and supplied world leading AFC systems. Their businesses provide mission-critical solutions for the payments, telecommunications and transportation industries.
Position: COMMERCIAL & CONTRACT MANAGER (BTS, Blue line)
Location: All season, Bangkok
Job Type: Permanent
Salary Range: 160K – 200K
Report to: Australia Office
Subordinate: Supervise 10 -12 person
Job Description:
- Structuring and negotiating new business deals to the best commercial advantage of the organization
- Providing commercial advice and support to the management team and contributing to senior management decision making
- Liaising on behalf of the organization in matters relating to assigned contracts, maintaining liaison between company and customer through preparation and coordination of applicable correspondence
- Assisting with the development of terms and conditions for contract proposals in accordance with performance risk analysis and protection of company interest
- Take the lead in commercial management for business operations, ensuring strategic outcomes and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels of the business
- Oversee the ANZ business’ legal and commercial position for local projects and operations
- Lead and mentor the Commercial / Finance teams
- Support business development through legal and commercial analysis of tenders and drafting of contract terms & conditions
- Conduct research, analyze and report on business risks in proposals, projects and operations across the organization.
- Providing detailed analysis of proposed contract terms, to support preparation of commercial responses, negotiation positions and management briefings / reviews.
- Ensuring overall consistency and coherency of proposal documents and contract documents.
- Support risk analysis - identify, evaluate and manage commercial risk, developing and implementing negotiation and mitigation strategies in consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare contractual documentation, consulting as necessary with legal.
- Take the lead in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with Vix Values and policies for new business contracts.
- Liaise with the APAC Legal team with regard to selection of contract structures and terms for supplier contracts, and general coordination of purchasing activities during bid and project phases.
- Meet with customers on a regular basis to develop and maintain relationships, ensuring commercial issues are addressed in an effective and timely manner
- Play a leading role in the strategic business planning process, directly contributing to APAC 2yr & 5yr strategic plans
- Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships, and analyzing and developing business cases for new business targets.
- Assist with the development of innovative commercial business solutions in line with business financial targets / requirements
- Ensure company vision and values are observed and actively supported throughout direct areas of responsibility
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in commercial and/or contract management, with relevant supporting tertiary qualifications
- Substantial experience operating within complex commercial environments, across many jurisdictions and territories
- Commercial experience in diverse project delivery and operational environments (technology company experience desirable)
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Applications and Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Strong analytical, interpretation, problem solving and research skills
- Understanding processes around legal and contractual obligations
- Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines from varying sources
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to explain complex issues and present technical information clearly
