Our Client is a multinational company, specialist services to implement, optimize and support Oracle Retail software solutions, award-winning retail solutions provider specializing in enterprise resource planning for mid-size retailers. Head office is in Australia and now would like to expand business in Thailand.

Position:                    Technical Consultant  - Oracle Retail

Location:                    Sathorn Square Tower

Salary Range:             Up to 110K

Benefit:                      Social Security Fund, bonus and etc.

Position Summary

The Technical Consultant is responsible for contributing to the successful implementations of the Oracle Retail product suite for client projects as assigned. This is performed through the practical application of Oracle Retail software technical product knowledge and retail industry knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Define client reporting, data conversion, interface, and application enhancement requirements
• Build and test system reports, application enhancements, and modifications
• Participate in data conversion and application testing during the client project
• Lead interface design and development during the client project
• Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues
• Build overall system schedule including online and batch operations
• Perform knowledge transfer to client personnel especially related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements
• Participate in supporting production environment as delegated
• Define implementation and integration alternatives
• Assist in hand over to support team upon successful project completion
• Perform go-live assessments to determine readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
• Provide knowledge transfer to necessary 3rd party vendors (hardware, software, etc) related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements

Essential skills:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Must have at least two of the following:

-           PL/SQL

-           C / C++

-           Oracle ProC

-           Java (J2EE and swing)

-           Oracle Internet Developer Suite (IDS) especially Oracle Forms

-           XML

-           UNIX (shell scripting)

Qualifications and experience:

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Essential:

• Demonstrated experience in Oracle Database Administration

Desirable:

• 5+ years development and/or systems integration experience
• Oracle Retail experience
• UNIX Administration (HPUX, AIX, Solaris)
• Linux Administration
• 3+ years in the Retail industry or an associated Retail IT field
• Packaged Software Applications: Retek, SeeBeyond, MicroStrategy
