Responsibilities

This position has significant responsibility for the profitable day-to-day management of the existing business, DC operation and customer management for company in Thailand. The role also embraces the need to ensure that the growth objectives of the logistics business are achieved by way of providing close support at all times to the Manager Operation of Logistics.

Categorize the job into 3-5 major areas of responsibility. Divide these into steps explaining the main activities. Assign a percentage of time spent on each major category.

• To create a singular and focused approach in respect to the effective operation of a World Class Logistics facility at Bangpa-in, Wangnoi and future site in Thailand
• Ensure a harmonious work environment by working closely with the HR department to achieve harmonious Industrial relations.
• Work closely with the IT department to ensure the effective utilization of WMS, to build super users team to support the day to day operation and to assist implementation of new projects hand-in-hand.
• To liaise with Finance to ensure all information are reported on a timely manner, the records are kept accurately and reflect the current business to date.
• To ensure transformation of the site over the Strategic Plan period to a high standard of operational efficiency and safety so as to ensure that company can attract and retain world class clients.
• To work with other OPC to optimize processes and service offerings (i.e.) Distribution & Manufacturing.

Qualification

• Bachelor Degree / Master degree in Commerce, Marketing, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Operation or Logistics and Supply Chain Management field.
• At least 5 years working experience in a Commercial, Operation Management, or Warehouse, Logistics & Supply Chain Management role
• At least 3 years working experience in a management role.
• International company experience is considered to be advantage
• Inventory Management
• Proven and successful track record in previous career assignments.
• Presentation, networking, communication, negotiation, analytical, leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong computer literacy - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
• Hands on knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, GSDP, GMP and HACCP (If any)
• Wide-range knowledge of local markets in all Warehouse & Logistics Services. (If any)
• In depth knowledge and understand of Thailand Logistics industry and competitors’ services. (If any)
