Our Client is an international provider of market-leading products and services to both the public and private sectors. A company has developed and supplied world leading AFC systems. Their businesses provide mission-critical solutions for the payments, telecommunications and transportation industries.

 

Position:                      Senior Software Engineer
Location:                     Bangkok
Job Type:                     Permanent
Salary Range:             80,000 THB (up to experience)
Report to:                    Australia Office

 

Job Description:

•          Define, understand and breakdown the customer’s requirements as part of the Agile planning process.
•          Implement automated integration test and unit tests for all implemented software.
•          Implement peer-reviewed software, focusing on re-use, and object-oriented design.
•          Identify risks and resolve issues during the project life cycle.
•          Ensure the quality and maintainability of software and related work products.
•          Mentor junior team members as necessary.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills Required:

•          Min 5 years software engineering experience in IT industry
•          C and C++ experience.
•          J2EE, J2SE and Java Experience.
•          Development of software using Scrum & Agile practices.
•          Application development under Windows, Windows Server or Linux.

Skills and abilities:

•          Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively.
•          Ability to solve complex problems with practical and innovative solutions.
•          Experience with developing for JBOSS application server.
•          Demonstrated ability to understand new technologies quickly and effectively.
•          Ability to provide clear and concise technical reports and express complex concepts in clear ways.
•          Excellent analytical and communication skills.
•          English - Verbal and Written a must.

Desired Skills/Experiences:

•          Financial Payments Background or HTML5 and tablet/smartphone application experience.
•          Web Site Development
•          Business Analysis
•          Continuous Integration
•          Automated integration and Acceptance Testing.
