Senior Electrical Engineer

 Position:                   SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

Lead design and engineering role performing conceptual/basic engineering as the Owner’s

Engineer consisting of:

• Site selection
• Major Equipment selection   (Transformer, Switchgear, Motor   and   Control   Center Emergency   Generator, UPS, Instrument, Cable, Communication Equipment, etc.)
• Conceptual plant layout
• System one line diagram and preliminary calculations
• EPC contract specification and negotiation

Lead design and engineering role performing detailed engineering consisting of:

• Prepare and review technical specifications for power plant equipment and systems
• Perform and review calculations for equipment and systems
• Design and review drawings (auxiliary one line and logic diagrams, schematics, general arrangements, grounding, lighting, cables and raceways, etc.)
• Perform equipment sizing and selection, including bid evaluation

Description of Projects:

• Power projects ranging in size from 10 MW to 4000 MW
• Power plants burning natural gas (simple and combined cycle), coal, oil, bio-mass, waste-to- energy, and cogeneration facilities
• Projects primarily located in Thailand and surrounding Southeast Asian countries.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master Degree a plus.
• Minimum 12 - 15 years of experience, mainly in the field detail design of power plants burning coal, biomass, natural gas (simple and combined cycle), and cogeneration facilities.
• Experience working with auxiliary systems / medium voltage equipment / process and motor controls / grounding / lighting/ Instrumentation / SCADA-DCS-PLC / etc.
• Knowledge of engineering software such as ASPEN, EDSA, ETAP, Microstation, AutoCAD and Smart Plant.
• Must possess current knowledge and experience with industry electrical codes and standards regarding power generating plant and substation design, including NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and IEC
• Leadership capabilities in mentoring and assisting junior-level engineers in project tasks
• Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and independently as required
• Good command of English and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
