SOCIAL SAFEGUARDS SENIOR COORDINATOR (CONSULTANCY)

OurClient is the developer and operator of Hydroelectric Project, a public-private partnership designed to generate electricity for export to Thailand and for domestic use in Laos under a 25-year concession period. Company is dedicated to running a world class hydropower facility and to improving the livelihoods of people in the Project area in three provinces: Khammouane, Bolikhamxay and Savannakhet. The offices are located in Vientiane capital, Nakai and Gnommalath districts in Khammouane.

Position:                      SOCIAL SAFEGUARDS SENIOR COORDINATOR (CONSULTANCY)

Location:                     KHAMMOUANE, LAOS

Industry type:              Hydro Power Plant                     

Salary Range:             7,000 USD (Up to experience)

Responsibilities;

• Conceptualize and implement integrated social plans to meet Resettlement Office objective in line with company vision.
• Advise in the strategic planning and implementation of the Comprehensive Action Plan to conclude the Resettlement Implementation program.
• Support with the analysis of social and economic data, provide guidance to ensure the consistency and the reliability of the monitoring system.
• Support teams in systematically gathering documents and data for final compliance monitoring and audits, Participate to external communication activities, especially regarding monitoring.
• Participate in the issuance of progress reports.

Qualification;

•  Master degree in social sciences or related file.
•  Relevant experience in social safeguard planning and implementation.
•  Excellent English writing and communication skills
•  Strong adaptive management skills.
•  Detail orientated.
•  Organizational skills.
•  Knowledge in hydropower social and environmental program is an asset.
•  Command of Lao language is a plush.
•  Ability to work in a remote area./
